The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Vermont is seeking a President/CEO who will manage a team of four staff members to accomplish the strategic goals of Make-A-Wish. In concert with the Board of Directors, the President/CEO will determine the short- and long-term strategic vision and objectives, including how best to continue providing outstanding wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. Setting the course for the immediate future and beyond, the President/CEO will be outwardly focused on the development of core and strategic partnerships and will initiate, develop and further relations with critical constituents including current or potential private gift donors, corporate donors, community leaders and wish families.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in a related field, plus 5 to 10 years of administration and management experience required; Masters Degree preferred. Experience in major gift fundraising, management of staff and operations, including financial management, as well as excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills required. Additional consideration will be given to candidates who have a working knowledge of non-profit management.
