Biography:

Ned originally became involved in the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Central and Northern Florida chapter as a wish granter, board member and chair. Ned has since served in a variety of roles with the Foundation nationally, including as the first chair of the National Advisory Council. While leading the NAC, he was instrumental in developing, cultivating and strengthening partnerships between the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the NASCAR Foundation, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Wrangler, WWE, BNY Mellon and other supporters. In recent years, he has successfully raised funds for museums, public television and other organizations, as well as the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Educated and trained in hotel and restaurant management at Cornell University, Ned developed, operated and sold several successful businesses – overseeing all aspects of finance, sales, marketing, public relations and human resources in the process. Ned’s previous board experience includes the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Discovery and Science, America’s Cup Challenge and the Florida Ocean Sciences Institute. He and his wife, Suzanne, a former member of the National Board, live in Waynesville, North Carolina. Ned was appointed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America Board in October 2009.
