Biography:

Until his retirement in December 1996, Bob was chairman of the Miami real estate department of New York-based Stroock & Stroock & Lavan. He held that position since 1977 and was a partner in the firm for fifteen years. Bob’s practice area included real estate lending, representing institutional and private lenders, real estate developers and corporate clients. He also represented private and public corporate clients in all aspects of their business, with emphasis on the structuring of complex commercial transactions. After retiring from the practice with Stroock, Bob provided consultation to clients through Robert K. Jordan, P.A. through December of 2007. Bob served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Community Television Foundation of South Florida, WPBT Channel 2, South Florida public television 20065 and 2007. As Chairman of the Board, Bob served on all Board Committees. Bob is also a member of the Board of Directors of Comtel, a for-profit affiliate of WPBT. He now serves as the Immediate Past Chair. Bob is also a member of the Board of Directors of Miami Children’s Hospital and serves as Chairman of its Quality Committee, and as a member of the Hospital’s Executive and Finance committees. He was previously on the board of Chateau Communities, Inc., a manufactured home community real estate investment trust, when it was publicly traded and listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Bob holds a law degree and an accounting degree from the University of Miami, and has been published in Mortgage Banking and Probate & Property magazines. He was appointed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America’s National Board in July 2005. Bob currently chairs the Foundation’s Audit and Finance committee, is a member of the Executive Committee, and serves on the Chapter Structure Task Force. Bob and his family currently reside in Miami, Florida.
