Biography:
Dolf is an executive with significant experience in the entertainment and restaurant industries. He is President of Lucky Strike Entertainment, LLC the leader in the fast-growing category of upscale entertainment venues featuring bowling. Prior to this role Dolf was the Chief Operating Officer of House of Blues Entertainment, Inc., Chief Operating Officer for Diedrich Coffee, and a senior operating executive for Pepsico Restaurants both domestically and internationally. In his youth he taught in a multi-racial school in South Africa, worked for Booz-Allen and Hamilton consulting firm, and recorded a successful children’s music album. Dolf has an AB in History in Literature from Harvard College, an MA in African History from the University of Zimbabwe, and an MBA from Harvard University. He is an avid masters track and field competitor, and has ranked in the top five in the world in both pole-vault and decathlon for men over forty years old.
Julia is an experienced non-profit leader and a nationally certified interpreter for the deaf. Since the time of their oldest son’s diagnosis with autism in 2002 Julia has been working tirelessly to recover her son and other children from autism. She is the coordinator for the greater Los Angeles, California chapter of Talk About Curing Autism (TACA), an organization that helps more than 11,000 families nationwide. Julia is an international speaker on the subject of autism and has appeared in a variety of media outlets on the local, national and international levels. Julia was recently honored as the top single-person fundraiser nationwide for this organization. Julia is also a Parent Founder for the organization Generation Rescue, a non-profit group focused on funding and researching the causes and biomedical recovery options for autism. She is a graduate of James Madison University where she earned a BS degree in Speech Language Pathology with a minor in Special Education. She has a post graduate AA in Interpreting for the Deaf from Front Range Community College. She also did post-graduate work at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC.
The Berles live in southern California with their three children and a Basset Hound.
