The students of First Assembly Christian School in Cordova, TN, raised a whopping $12,000 during an inaugural attempt at sponsoring a wish through the Mid-South chapter. They hosted several fundraising events including a very successful change collection week that resulted in this significant contribution. All of their hard work paid off the day they granted the first of their two wishes to Jordan.
Invited to be a special guest at their school for a talent show, Jordan represented the Make-A-Wish Foundation® and had even agreed to display his own talent of dancing. As he went down each hallway meeting the students, he was presented with the V.I.P. treatment from receiving gifts to arriving at a party held in his honor! When they arrived at the actual show, FACS students not only performed specifically for Jordan, but wrote a rap and a poem especially for him as well. Jordan and his family were overwhelmed with emotion and joy realizing that these students had cared enough about his struggle that they had raised the funds to sponsor his special wish to travel to the Walt Disney Resort.
