Robin Olson
Title:
Annual Fund Officer
Hometown:
Phoenix, AZ
Profile:

Robin joined the Foundation in June 2007 on the direct mail team. She was hired to manage the production of the national direct mail program but wanted to work more directly with donors. After nearly two years working with direct mail, Robin became the annual fund officer in 2009. She enjoys the many opportunities to talk directly with donors, getting to know them and their reasons for supporting the Foundation.

Robin’s fundraising career began with The Burnham Institute for Medical Research in La Jolla, Calif. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Louis University.

Favorite Wish:

Aubrey’s wish to be a superhero reflects the story of a child who is aware of her illness but dreams of the power to overcome it. Aubrey has a rare brain tumor that threatens her sight. Star, her superhero alter ego, comes to life when Aubrey takes off her glasses. The unique qualities of this wish, as well as the way it inspired a community to come together to make it come true, make it Robin’s favorite among many special wish stories.

About Robin:

Robin grew up in St. Louis, and has lived in Kansas City, San Diego and Chicago. She now lives with her husband and their two daughters in Phoenix. Robin loves to travel, read and write.
