“I would not change one second of my wish,” exclaimed 13-year-old basketball fan Yvonne.

The star player of her middle school girls basketball team adores the sport, and so her wish granters were not surprised when Yvonne’s wish turned out to be to attend her first professional basketball game and meet her favorite team, the Sacramento Kings.

The wish began with an exhilarating trip over the Sierra Mountains into Sacramento; then Yvonne’s wish day began. Her mom, dad, and younger brother climbed into a long white limo for the ride to the Arco Arena. She got a behind-the-scenes tour of the arena and a shopping spree for special souvenirs at the Kings’ gift shop. The entire family then enjoyed spectacular suite tickets for the game.

Yvonne had so much fun on her wish that she had difficulty highlighting the most special part. Chris Webber was sitting out this particular game injured, but being the ardent Make-A-Wish^® supporter that he is, he rebounded enough to come by for a “meet and greet” with Yvonne. After the game, Yvonne met her favorite player, Bobby Jackson, making her wish a slam dunk.
