The giraffe turns and lowers its head. Its gaze falls on Gabe – and the tempting snack in his hand.
The giraffe comes closer … Gabe’s expression changes from slightly nervous to filled with wonder. The giraffe gently accepts his offering and chews, its huge head just a few feet from where Gabe watches, transfixed.
This is it! This is the kind of adventure Gabe craved when he wished to spend a night at the San Diego Zoo. He’s looked forward to his animal encounter, and it’s happened! Oh, and last night? Gabe slept in a tent … right next to a herd of elephants.
Living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy affects not only Gabe, but his entire family. It’s part of everything they do.
But during Gabe’s wish, they are like any other family at the
zoo. They take photos, they make memories. And for Gabe…
every smile and every laugh comes easier than ever before.

you are a very bright kid, and you will go far in life. i promise you that honey! i'm 18 year's of age, and i really believe in you. i hope you make it to staying the night at the zoo. believe in yourself, and other's will do the same!!

gabe i dont know how it feels to go though what you are going though but i hope having your wish granted made it easyer and i give you me blessing and will prayer for you .being 10 i know i cannot do much but i know with some praying god can
