For the Sacramento Kings, setting picks and hitting jump shots is only part of being a pro athlete. Showing their commitment to their fans is just as important. That’s why they take time away from practices and games to meet fans like 13-year-old Yvonne, who is an ardent Kings fan even though she’d never been to a game. She got a behind-the-scenes tour of Key Arena and a shopping spree for special souvenirs at the Kings’ gift shop. The entire family then enjoyed spectacular suite tickets for the game.

I think what you guys are doing for these kids is the sweetest thing ever. People don't know what they go through, and it hurts me to see kids go through things like this. Thank God that you guys are doing something for them. My grandfather died last year and he suffered a lot, but, we tried making him the happiest man we could. I guess God wanted him and he never got to see me graduate from school like he wanted. Thanks, you guys, for caring so much, and I hope to hear from you.

I love it that Jeff Gordon found the time to help kids out even when he is so busy. I give him a round of applause!

I believe this foundation to be one of the greatest world wide. My little brother suffers from various disorders that may not be cured and is having the Make-A-Wish Foundation make his wish come true. I truly believe that what you guys are doing is great. All the tears and smiles that are shared with these families are one of the greatest gifts some one can give these children. This Foundation deserves everyones respect.
