I think it is so beautiful that even with this young girl was hurting and facing a life-threatening problem that she was so selfless. She chose to help homeless children rather than something that could benefit only her. God bless her.
my Benny rides therapy horses also; it is such a joy to see the things that can happen when a boy and a horse work together. Horses can be miracle workers(and it turns out they can help you learn your numbers and letters too; who knew?) Keep at it and God bless.
My Benny is 7, wants to go on a train very fast with his sisters, and is sure to want to try some of the very same things your story describes. Are you sure you two aren't maybe twins? Glad you told your story.
He seems so sweet.
Life can be cruel but seeing a smile just washes every wave of sadness away.
God Bless.
I just wanted to say I am so happy that your wish came true. I used to volunteer and help grant wishes for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It is so rewarding to see a child's face after the get the wish they dreamed of. My younger brother has Down's Syndrome too, so I was really touched by your story.
