Fourteen-year-old Louis is a fan of popular funnyman Mike Myers. The "Saturday Night Live" alum has entertained a generation of moviegoers with comedies such as "Wayne's World," "Wayne's World 2," "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery" and "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me." With a few laughs of his own up his sleeve, Louis asked wish granters with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® to help him meet Myers. Groovy, baby!
Along with his parents and best friend, Louis traveled to Universal City, Calif., for an encounter with his favorite star at the premiere of "Austin Powers in Goldmember." The group traveled via limousine to the Universal Amphitheatre, where the teen had red-carpet access so he could watch Hollywood heavyweights arrive for the show. One of the highlights came when the Olsen twins, child stars Mary-Kate and Ashley, walked past and smiled at the starstruck boy. Once it came time to sit down, Louis took his VIP seat with some stars sitting behind him!
After viewing the movie, which would go on to gross millions of dollars, Louis and his group attended Mike Myers' private party for autographs and photos. In a parody of a hilarious scene made famous by "Wayne's World," Louis and his friend waved their arms in front of Myers and shouted, "We're not worthy!" The duo had planned to drop to their knees, but the shoulder-to-shoulder crowd prevented it. They also got the best of the good-natured star when they claimed they loved his work in a movie he had no role in – "Braveheart." Ever the good sport, Myers happily played along.
In addition to his hero, the young comedy buff met plenty of characters from the "Austin Powers" trilogy. He took pictures with Michael York, who plays "Basil Exposition;" Fred Savage, who appeared as "The Mole;" Seth Green, who steals laughs as "Scott Evil;" Robert Wagner, who acted as "Number Two;" Verne Troyer, who has won fans as "Mini-Me;" Mindy Sterling, who plays "Frau Farbissina;" and director Jay Roach.
In a generous gesture, Verne Troyer offered Louis a souvenir to remember his night in Tinseltown. The "Mini-Me" actor showed his heart was anything but mini when he presented Louis with the pinkie ring he wore during "Goldmember" filming.
After a full night of mingling with the stars, Louis made it back to his hotel at midnight. In addition to their evening with big names from the big screen, the family went to Universal Studios Hollywood, visited Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier, and swam in the Pacific Ocean.
