Parker, 4
"I wish to have a play set" |
Four-year-old Parker is non-verbal. He communicates in sign language when he has a need. But the smile you see on his face in this picture says more than any string of words. It was his joy in swinging that suggested Parker's wish for an adaptive play set with the thrill of a pirate plank and a slippery slide, but with supportive bucket seats and plenty of accommodations for safety, too. Parker has severe pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the arteries that supply the lungs) and other medical issues including a variety of lung conditions which keep him at home and in more isolation than he enjoys, because he loves the outdoors and he loves to have his siblings interact with him. |
