Since the Hyatt Hotels and Resorts relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation^® began in 2006, Hyatt properties have helped to grant many creative and unique wishes worldwide. 13-year old wish child Carli, was able to fulfill her dream of being a lifeguard for a day when the staff at the Hyatt Regency Maui arranged for her to be “on duty” at the hotel’s lush pools, set on the edge of the Pacific Ocean. Armed with her whistle, sunblock and a customized uniform embroidered with her name, she kept a watchful eye to ensure the safety of the swimmer’s at the pool.

In addition, to the support received by Hyatt Hotel and Resort properties, Hyatt also encourages members of their frequent guest program, Hyatt Gold Passport to donate their points to the Foundation. These donations allow the Foundation to redeem free nights at Hyatt hotels worldwide in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation mission to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
