I wish to be a Coast Guard rescue swimmer

Jaeda’s wish to be a Coast Guard rescue swimmer gave her a glimpse of her potential. Though she lives daily with the effects of cystic fibrosis, she withstood two days of training with Coast Guard crews at the USCG Aviation Training Center – including jumping from a hovering helicopter into the ocean.

I wish to be a soccer player with Real Salt Lake

Jonah watched his hometown soccer team, Real Salt Lake, win the Major League Soccer championship. Then he got to be part of the team, training with its captain, receiving his own championship ring and watching the home opener at Rio Tinto Stadium.

I wish to be a dance instructor

Granting My’s wish to be a dance instructor required some dedicated help: Her classmates pitched in with their dance skills, and competitive dancer Heidi Burns offered her choreography abilities. Together, they created a hip-hop routine performed during an assembly at My’s school.


Symbolic Giving Comes to Summer of 5,000 WishesSM

The Summer of 5000 Wishes campaign now includes the Foundation’s first symbolic-giving effort. Donors can help grant wishes by selecting a specific element of a wish they would like to help fund, e.g. donating $10 for sunblock or $80 for hotel fees for a travel wish. From July 18-22, ESPN SportsCenter’s critically acclaimed “My Wish” series returned for a fifth straight year.
